The Monterey County, Information Technology Department (ITD) consists of four (4) operational Divisions:
Administration; Applications & Customer Support; Infrastructure & Operations; and Information Security.
ITD resources are operated and maintained in a manner that supports high availability for utilization and minimizes the risk of business interruption.
ITD's focus is on developing a sustainable, customer-focused environment to enhance and improve the quality of technology services used by County departments for the benefit of all Monterey County residents, businesses, and visitors.

Services provided by these functional areas include software development; enterprise and business systems administration; database services; website development, maintenance, consulting, and training services; GIS analytical services, and development and maintenance of Monterey County's Geodatabase; device management and one-stop Service Desk for all technology needs.
The Division seeks an experienced IT Systems Analyst III to serve as a technical resource and functional leader responsible for central endpoint management operations, including but not limited to:
imaging devices and installing, testing, and updating systems software.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a highly diversified and complex technology environment and possess a strong technical background that includes internal standalone systems, virtual environments, and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients, other departments, vendors, and IT personnel to provide complex technical support and expertise for difficult technical system problems and/or needs.
In addition, the successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, and will have experience and knowledge in systems analysis and design, computer operating systems and troubleshooting techniques, software applications, cloud-based platforms, and security compliance.
The Eligible List established by this recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies on a regular full-time, part-time, or temporary basis.
