We have an open position for a Patient Care Coordinator at our Salinas, CA location.
The Patient Care Coordinator is the first to interact with our patients, creating a friendly, caring culture with exceptional service.
The Patient Care Coordinator is a crucial contributor to the company's scheduling optimization and cancellation reduction efforts.
Schedules and facilitates communication between the sites and their prospective patients.
Serves as a support function for the entire region and is critical in the success of getting patients scheduled and seen promptly.
Supports company initiatives by adopting new approaches, practices, and processes to deliver unmistakable quality, spectacular service, and operational excellence consistently.
This position is in a front desk environment.
The job is to ensure that a medical facility is providing high-quality care services.
The Patient Care Coordinator works with administration, staff, and patients to reach healthcare goals and keep the lines of communication open.
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:
30 AM - 5:
00 PM.
Candidates must have the ability to work hours as assigned and have reliable transportation but will only be working out of our Fresno office.
This position would be fittest best with someone that had DME (Durable Medical Equipment) experience.
However, medical front/back office experience is shined upon as well.
Customer service-oriented people with vital administrative responsibilities are needed for this role.
The duties of a patient care coordinator are to ensure high-quality healthcare.
A coordinator helps to ensure patients understand every aspect of their care while also working with the administration to create policies and make decisions that are in the best interest of the patient.
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Works through the Scheduler Grid to pre-register and schedule patients (inbound & outbound calls).
Ensures all queues are processed in a timely and efficient manner while adhering to all processes and compliance requirements.
Conducts functions of the position in a collaborative, friendly, and empathetic way when dealing with patients, physicians, and co-workers.
Conducts pre-registration and clinical screening.
Asks all screening questions to ensure ease of obtaining insurance authorizations and communicates to the patient the status of their authorization and/or denials as needed.
Communicates benefit and payment options to patients, along with providing exam expectations.
Reschedules and cancels appointments as needed.
Supports the Authorization team by gaining access to information from the patient and/or physician to obtain authorization in a timely fashion.
Other duties as assigned The aptitude to learn terminology associated with sleep apnea and durable medical equipment.
Must be willing to work in a healthcare setting to where you are working with the patients.
Understand the requirements to abide by all safety precautions in the office to include wearing a mask, checking your temperature, and following sanitizing measures put in place to protect both the patient and the employee.
Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:
Welcome patients in-house Checking in/outpatients Quoting and collecting payments Answering phones Data entry within our medical portal called Brightree Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions, suggesting information about other products and services.
Opens customer accounts by recording account information.
Maintains customer records by updating account information.
Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Developing and coordinating patient care and services Managing and preparing patient information Handling patient case management Managing patient care Scheduling appointments Keeping the patient's e-file up to date with any changes and/or concerns from patient's visits.
Ensure the quality care of the patient and enter notes to Brightree.
Able to quote based on the patient's insurance benefits.
