Summary:
Reporting to the Campus Director, the Assistant Director for Career Services will provide leadership for day-to-day operations of the Career Services Center.
This position is responsible for all aspects of coordinating, planning, and developing a comprehensive array of resources for students and is responsible for marketing the resources to students and employers.
This position is responsible for preparing our students for their externship and future employment, resume development and interviewing readiness.
This position is also responsible for acquiring externship sites and maintaining follow up during the students' externship experience Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Complies with all Federal, State, accreditation and institutional policies and procedures.
Maintains and documents all necessary student files to assure up-to-date and accurate student placement record keeping as required by ACCET and/or ABHES Develop relationships with students in the program to access students' strengths and weaknesses and to match students' skills with extern sites to meet extern to hire percentage.
Responsible for developing relationships with employers to ensure site development and extern to hire accountabilities are met.
Responsible for developing and recruiting externship to hire sites.
Responsible for meeting with Program Directors to assure we are placing students on site within 10 days of last day of attendance.
Meet weekly with the Campus Director and functional team to review student progress on externship and placements Develops and maintains employer relations.
Solicits job opportunities from employers and setting up job Campaigns to successfully assist student/s for interviews in positions in their chosen fields of Allied Health.
Accurately document, track and ensure completion of all new hire's completion and placement forms.
Reports any comments made by the industry or changes recommended to the curriculum for the various programs.
Sends out Daily Activity Reports (DARS) to the Campus Director.
Coordinates Career Days with potential hiring partners and publicizes on-campus job recruiting activities.
Maintains effective communication with employers, faculty, staff, and students.
Creates effective marketing strategies/materials to increase participation in Career Services events.
Documenting and maintaining all Employment Verification forms for the Campus Director along with all documentation into Fame/Career Conext for all student/s progress.
Updating all jobs boards weekly Weekly Extern reports Evaluations of a students on site, meeting with Program Directors to assure all Student Evaluations are completed before exit.
End of Mod/ Clinical Site/Student Satisfaction/ Employer Satisfaction Evaluations completed and logged and sent out to the Campus Directors Leads Advisory Board meetings once a year and maintains a current listing of all advisory board members.
Organizes, schedules and coordinates activities such as blood drives, graduations, on ground activities, open houses, orientations, and other special events and disseminates event announcements and information as well as the development of promotional material.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Experience:

Ability to work accurately and coordinate and accomplish a variety of tasks.
Working knowledge of technical and procedural aspects and functions.
Basic physiology; safety procedures; ethical standards and practice.
Exhibit patience and positive attitudes in establishing and encouraging a learning environment.
Ability to always maintain confidentiality.
English will be the primary language used; bilingual abilities useful but not required.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the United States Equipment Used:
Computers, fax machine, photocopier, scanner, and telephone.
