Responsibilities:
- Receive and process service requests from customers via phone, email, or other communication channels.
- Dispatch service technicians to customer locations based on their skills, availability, and proximity.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely arrival at customer sites.
- Monitor the progress of service calls and provide updates to customers as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of service requests, dispatch activities, and technician availability in the AS400 system.
- Collaborate with other departments such as shipping/receiving and data entry to ensure smooth service operations.
- Utilize phone systems and other software tools to effectively communicate with customers and technicians.
- Assist in transportation management and fleet management tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a service dispatcher or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using AS400 or similar dispatching software is required.
- Familiarity with 3PL (Third Party Logistics) operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of SyteLine or other ERP systems is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple service requests simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and technicians.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic data entry skills for maintaining accurate records in the system.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management is a plus.
