Chris Cain Law is seeking a bilingual legal assistant to join our team in Salinas, California.
As an immigration and criminal defense law firm, we need someone who can handle legal filings, perform legal research and writing, answer calls, track cases, and help the attorney prepare for court.
Legal office experience is preferred but not necessary.
We will train.
This position is currently offered part-time with the possibility of full-time in the future.
The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish and able to work on-site in Salinas from 9-1, Monday through Friday.
It's a fast-paced office, so the right candidate should be able to remain calm under pressure, meet deadlines, and return to a task after an unexpected client call.
The majority of the work will be in criminal defense, but we will also need help with immigration work.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
