Job Purpose:
To manage the preparation of all payrolls including the reconciling of all payroll activities timely and accurately. Implement staffing plan, procedures, controls, and reporting systems to ensure successful accomplishment of the payroll processes. Assist in the accomplishment of general departmental goals
Reporting - Directly to CFO
-Manage Payroll Function for 6 Entities printing 1,200-2,000 payroll checks/week currently in CA & AZ
-Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
-Direct Daily, Weekly, Monthly & Annual Reporting Activities including W-2's
-Coordinate and direct the entry of crew and employee activities including H2A and Domestic workers
-Support month-end and year-end close processes, tax preparation and audits as needed
-Ensure quality control and reporting integrity over payroll transactions and payroll and related reporting
-Develop/implement business processes and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls
-Develop and implement systems, processes and controls to enhance departmental efficiency
-Maintain payroll staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
-5+ years of progressive experience in AGPayroll and related Accounting/Job Costing
-Thorough knowledge of Payroll and related Cost and GL Accounting principles and procedures
-Experience with all phases of payroll and payroll reporting including payroll taxes
-Strong accounting softwareand process setup/administration skills, Famous experience highly preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
