The Level II Managed Services Engineer represents the organization both on site at client locations and remotely from the organizations base location by working to resolve issues, perform maintenance tasks, and support installed IT equipment in complex network environments.
The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, excellent communication skills, and will be accountable for making support decisions in the best interest of the organizations clients, the clients operations, and the clients requirements for business continuity.
The Level II Managed Services Engineer also ensures that time records and trouble ticket updates comply with the organizations high standards.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to grow into advanced support roles for the organization that offer professional development opportunities through leading manufacturer training and certification programs.
Responsibilities:
Support the organizations mission, vision, and operational processes to maintain the cohesive and effective strategies of the organization.
Perform technical and skilled duties in the operation and support of enterprise, client server, and desktop computer systems and networks.
Perform technical and skilled duties in the design, installation, and configuration of enterprise-class IT networks and components, including servers, workstations, network appliances, printers, and other hardware devices.
Provide excellent customer service and support to both the existing client base and prospective clients.
Maintain and protect company tools, resources, assets, and systems to ensure longevity, safety, and functionality.
Regular Duties:
Responds to client trouble tickets and documents solutions along with time spent working on solutions.
Maintains systems established to monitor updates, security, performance, and server room environmental conditions.
Maintains and works with various client systems for back-up, recovery and business continuity.
Troubleshoots software and hardware on-line to maintain performance and system uptime.
Monitors hardware and software on LAN WAN systems.
Assists customers resolve problems with computer hardware and software.
Perform installation and production requirements in accordance with established company standards, including but not limited to assembling infrastructure racks, installing equipment, configuring networks, configuring software, service calls, troubleshooting systems, and completing project paperwork.
Ensure efficiency in the field by utilizing available resources such as manufacturer technical support, installation manuals, online help systems, and co-workers experience & expertise.
Participate in on-call rotation as required, and perform on-call duties in accordance with company policy.
Share experience and knowledge with other team members to increase effectiveness and suggest improved ways of resolving client problems; assist other technicians, as needed.
Other support and technical duties as assigned by the Owner.
Essential
Qualifications:
Experience in supporting PCs in a complex network environmentExcellent customer service and communication skillsExperience with Microsoft Windows Server (all versions), Microsoft SQL Server (all versions)Familiar with TCP IP, the OSI 7-layer model, and simple network routing and switching technologies.
Californias drivers license and the clearance to be covered under organization-sponsored vehicle insurance programAvailability to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekendsDesirable
Qualifications:
Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365Experience supporting Microsoft SharepointExperience troubleshooting WANs, VPNs, and firewallsExperience & Skills:
Proven experience managing multiple prioritiesDemonstrated ability to be self-driven in a work environmentTwo-year technical degree or minimum three years related experienceFamiliar with principles and practices of customer serviceDesirable

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
