Job Description:

Church Brothers is a family operated company and one of North America's leading grower shippers. We supply a wide variety of vegetables to processors, foodservice customers, retail customers and the international marketplace. We are currently looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Technician in Salinas, CA.
The Senior Accounts Payable Technician will be responsible for accurately coding and processing invoices for payment.
Position Reports to:

Accounting Supervisor
Responsibilities & Duties:

Ensure all invoices are properly matched and approved for payment
Code all invoices to the proper Cost Center and G/L account and enter in accounting system
Reconcile all invoices entered for the month to vendors' statements
Assist in weekly check run as needed
Run Freight reports for intercompany freight billing
Other function/duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work onsite and meet position's attendance schedule, as required by the job
Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two years related experience and/or training.
Skills:

Experience with Famous computer system
Proficient in Excel and MS Word products
Able to work in a respectful and professional manner with all levels of employees
Ability to work in fast paced environment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
